A solidly made, concentrated, powerful Canon-Fronsac, with scents of earth & black fruits. Chateau Barrabaque’s bouquet is surprising by its sheer diversity of aromas, Blackberry, licorice and indian spices on the nose. Medium bodied, with a solid core of silky tannins and a medium finish. A top-notch effort from Canon-Fronsac, the 2005 Barrabaque exhibits plenty of minerallity, high tannin and equally high extract and density, and abundant amounts of sweet red and black fruits, full bodied.
