Clos la Coutale Cahors

You can see why the French call the wines of Cahors “Black Wine.” The wine is rich, juicy and peppery. It is filled with mulberries, dark chocolate, nuts, cassis and stewed fruit. Its earthy and leathery…less of a fruit bomb than Argentian Malbecs. It is ready to drink now but can be aged for 3-4 more years. Ageing will add more richness and complexity.
