Domaine Servin Vielles Vignes Selection Massale Chablis 2006

Aged half in barrel and half in tank- Good pale yellow. Pineapple on the nose, with a slightly exotic quality. Dense and sappy on the palate, with ripe acids framing the pineapple and peach flavors. For village wine, this is fat and large-scaled, but then this A fruity, spicy wine with considerable power-and purer in the mouth than the nose would suggest.Bright, deep yellow. Peach, spice and honey on the nose; more exotic and less vibrant than the Pargues examples. Spicy and lower-toned in the mouth, with fat, sweet flavors of peach, spices and stone. Ripe and full for village wine but less racy than the Cuvee Les Pargues. Still, this fairly powerful bottling shows premier cru weight and length.  - Stephen Tanzer
