$14.99
-- Classic Côtes du Rhône with Some New World Flare!
Purchase Petit Chapeau Côtes du Rhône
This Côtes-du-Rhône is a selection from a fine producer in Cairanne. The grapes are mostly old-vine Grenache, hand-harvested with low yields, ensuring remarkable depth of flavor. With a smoky nose showing notes of dried herbs and roasted red fruit, the wine is concentrated and rich on the palate. Truly a new kind of value in French red wine!

Camille Cayran Secret de Campane 2007 -- Our Vin de Pays comes from the vineyards located in the Principality of Orange, In Provence, (on the left bank of the Rhône river), facing the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux.
Tasting Notes: Beautiful cherry red color. The nose is full of very fresh raspberries and red fruits. The mouth is smooth with a long lasting palate deliberately made of soft tannins.

Domaine de Beaurenard Chateauneuf du Pape 2005 -- Robert Parker "The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape offers a very aromatic display of white chocolate, black cherry, roasted herbs, pepper, and espresso. The wine has excellent concentration, lush tannins for the vintage, and a round, opulent mouthfeel. It is almost atypical for a 2005 in its fullness and headiness. Certainly the tannins have melted effectively over the last year. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. "

Le Mas des Collines Vacqueyras -- Grenache-Syrah-Cinsault
This is a full bodied dense and satisfying style of Cotes du Rhone. Right off the bat the wine entices you with its deep dark color. The nose is generous with lovely concentrated dark berries. Licorice and chocolate notes brush the palate alongside the rich dark fruit. Earthy beef blood and black pepper beam their way through this long finishing gem.

Le Rhône Gang Le Hold-up Pinot Noir & Grenache NV -- "Offers a light-bodied but persistent mix of briar, herb, tobacco and red cherry fruit aromas and flavors, with a brisk, minerally finish." -Wine Spectator
"Le Hold-up is a unique blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache. Intense in the mouth, with hints of cherries, the fresh character of Pinot is balanced with the silky texture of Grenache. A delicious and lively finish with notes of black pepper makes it a must-try with roasted duck and grilled chicken. Le Gang is a cooperation of four vintner friends: Louis Barruol (Saint-Cosme), Arnaud de la Chanonie (Avitus), Rodolphe de Pins (Montfaucon) and Frédéic Chaudiere (Pesquie & Paradou)." -Winemaker's Notes
