Refreshing: Tenuta di Pietra Porzia Regillo Frascati is fuller and richer than most Frascati: fresh & lively, sweet pear fruitiness in the nose, almost oily texture, delicious spices with an almond finish. Incredibly easy to drink.
Plus, the winery is GREEN. Farming is done in accordance with European Union standards of sustainable agriculture (viticoltura integrate). The grapes are pressed without the use of sulphur dioxide and fermented in steel to retain that memorable zip. Integrata calls for low environmental impact farming, involving such things as organic composting, programs for water conservation, cover cropping between rows (to prevent soil erosion), and cultivation of wooded or natural brush areas around the vineyard to maintain hospitable homes for beneficial insects and birds.
